Font End User License Agreement

This Font End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) is between you (“Licensee”) and Old City Mailroom (“Old City Mailroom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using an Old City Mailroom font, you agree to the terms below.
The short version
You are licensing the font, not buying the font itself.
Your license gives you permission to use the font in specific ways. The type of license you purchase determines who can use the font and how the font can be used.
We try to keep this simple. If you're not sure whether a particular use is covered, ask us before using the font. We're happy to help.
desktop licenses
Your license is for the person, business, or organization named on your order.
A license may not be transferred, resold, or given to another person or business without written permission from Old City Mailroom.
Your license is based on the size of the business using the font.

Standard Desktop License
Personal Use or Solo Entrepreneur
2–10 Employees
Extended Desktop License
Team License
10+ Employees
Custom License
The employee count refers to the total number of employees within the licensed business or organization, not simply the number of people who use the font.
Businesses with 10+ employees must inquire for a custom license.
If your business grows beyond the number of employees covered by your license, you must upgrade your license.
What your desktop license covers:
For businesses with fewer than 10 employees, a desktop license covers ordinary design and marketing uses including:
Print collateral
Social media
Digital marketing
Static website graphics
Canva
Adobe and other design programs
Businesses with 10+ employees must inquire for a custom license.
Logo and brand marks
Logo and brand mark use is not included with the desktop license.
A logo / brand mark license may be purchased as an additional license during checkout.
Once properly licensed, you may use the font to create and use logos, wordmarks, and other brand marks for the licensed business.
Web licenses
If you want to use an Old City Mailroom font as a live font on a website, you need a web license.
A web license permits you to use the WOFF font files to embed the typeface into your website.
The OTF files supplied with a desktop license are intended for desktop design software and are not licensed for live web embedding.
Web licenses are based on the website's monthly visitors:
Up to 10,000 visitors per month
Standard Web License
Up to 100,000 visitors per month
Extended Web License
100,000+ visitors per month
Custom Web License
If your website grows beyond the traffic covered by your license, you must upgrade your license.
Using the font in a static image, such as a PNG or JPG displayed on a website, does not require a web license.
Businesses with 10+ employees must inquire for a custom license.
Uses that require additional licensing
The following uses are not included in a standard desktop license and require additional licensing or written permission from Old City Mailroom:
Packaging
Products or merchandise for sale
Clothing printed or embroidered with the font
Apps or software
Editorial projects, books, or album artwork
Other uses where the font itself is being embedded or distributed
Logo and brand mark use is available as an additional license and may be purchased during checkout.
If you are unsure whether your project requires additional licensing, contact Old City Mailroom before using the font.
Working with designers and other third parties
You may hire a designer, agency, printer, or other contractor to create work for you using your licensed font.
The license is granted only to the person, business, or organization named as the Licensee. It does not give the designer or agency their own license.
The contractor may use the font only as necessary to complete work for the licensed business and may not use the font for other clients, redistribute the font files, or retain the font for unrelated work.
If a contractor needs to install the font on their own computer, they must comply with the terms of this Agreement.
Things you may not do
Unless you have written permission or an appropriate additional license, you may not:
Share, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the font files
Upload the font files to a public or shared download location
Give the font files to another person or business for their own use
Use the font for a business other than the licensed business
Embed the font in a website, application, or software without the appropriate license
Include the font files in a product or digital download
Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the underlying font software
Use the font to create or distribute another font or font product
Resell the font or make the font itself available to others
Custom licenses
Businesses with 10+ employees must inquire for a custom license.
Custom licenses may also be required for unusual uses, large-scale distribution, high-traffic websites, software, apps, products, or other projects not covered by the standard licensing options.
If we provide you with a custom license or written permission for a specific use, that permission applies only to the uses described in that agreement.
Ownership
Old City Mailroom retains all rights, title, and ownership of the Font and its intellectual property.
Purchasing a license does not transfer ownership or copyright to you.
Your license gives you permission to use the Font according to this Agreement.
Updates and new versions
If Old City Mailroom releases an updated or revised version of a Font, you are not automatically entitled to the new version unless otherwise stated.
A new version may be subject to additional terms or licensing.
Termination
This license is effective until terminated.
It will terminate automatically if you breach any term of this Agreement.
Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Font and delete all copies of the Font from all devices and backups in your possession or control.
Termination does not relieve you of any obligations or liabilities that arose before termination.
Disclaimer & Liability
The Font is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Old City Mailroom is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages resulting from the use or misuse of the Font, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Refunds
Font purchases are non-refundable once the font files have been downloaded.
If you have a problem with your purchase, contact us and we'll do our best to help.
Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be handled in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY / STATE].
